Keeping Normal Skin in Top Condition

Do you pay a good chunk of your precious hard-earned dollars just to look good and maintain your skin in its best condition? Can beautiful skin be achieved solely by using commercially prepared beauty products? Do all effective beauty products come in a bottle or a tube?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you really need to read this article. Despite all the manufacturers' advertisements claiming otherwise, having and maintaining a beautiful skin does not always come from a bottle or a tube. It also need not be expensive.

Looking good is just about any woman's (or man's) dream. However, this might be as elusive as finding that fabled pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! With all the harmful elements that surround us every day and the stressful nature of modern living, having a beautifully radiant skin can truly be a great challenge.

But Mother Nature has always been so kind to us. Take a look around and you will see the multitude of natural products that you can use in your regular skin care regimen. And by the way, these natural products are way less expensive and are definitely safer and more effective compared to their commercially prepared counterparts!

Wondering what these natural products might be? You want a clue? Well, for starters, they can be found almost everywhere - in your kitchen, in the grocery store and in the fruits and vegetable section of the supermarket, to name a few! You got it right. We are talking about all those wonderful fruits and vegetables!

Fruits and vegetables do help a lot in keeping our skin smooth and supple. They help us ward off infections so that our skin remains blemish free. They contain essential nutrients, which can help give our skin that rosy glow indicative of good health. Fruits and vegetables not only taste good, they can also be used in our beauty routines!

For those of you who have normal skin, you are indeed truly blessed! Keep your skin in top condition by using any of the following face packs, which are made from 100% natural ingredients (our mighty fruits and vegetables).

. To give your skin that extra nice glow, try extracting the juice from half an orange or a piece of tomato. Apply this on your face using a lightly massaging action and leave it on for a few minutes. Wash your face with cold water and wipe dry afterwards.

. Another option is to gently rub the inner peel of a papaya onto your face if you wish your skin to take on that extra healthy glow. It is always best to use the peel fresh but you can always store extra pieces in the refrigerator for future use. Just remember to keep them in an airtight container and use them within 2 days.

. Rejuvenating your normal skin can be done in a jiffy! Simply grind one small carrot and extract its juice. Apply the juice on your face, let dry and then rinse with cold water.

. As we grow older, it is inevitable that lines and wrinkles will appear. However, we can delay these from showing! One option is to use cabbage. Simply grind half a cup (approximately 50 grams) of cabbage and extract its juice. Apply it on your face using a gently massaging action. Leave it on for a few minutes, allow it to dry and rinse afterwards with cold water.

. An apple a day helps keep the doctor away. It also helps slow down the development of fine lines and wrinkles! So the next time you eat an apple, be sure to save some peel and use it as a skin cleanser. Rub the inside of the peel onto your face using upward strokes and leave it on for a few minutes. Wash with cold water and pat dry afterwards.
